Campaign Impact:
Old St. Patrick's Church
People Support What They Help to Create.
An inspiring idea came to light during the campaign prep process at Old St. Patrick’s Church (OSP), one that would transform the campaign, the OSP community and ultimately, the lives of high school students living in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood. During a lengthy engagement process designed by HPS to ensure that the campaign priorities aligned with the desires and philanthropic goals of the members, the idea to fund the construction and launch of a home for homeless teen high school students was born. The OSP community so embraced the initiative as part of their Journey Forward Campaign, that the Campaign goal was exceeded. Now – just a little over three years after the start of the Campaign – the home in North Lawndale, now called "Phoenix Hall" is nearing completion and students will be moving into their new home prior to the start of school in the fall. Since the conclusion of their Campaign, HPS has continued our partnership with OSP by serving both as strategic planning counsel and as ongoing development counsel in support of their major gifts and donor stewardship efforts. |
